Palmetto Women's Show

FLORENCE, SC — It's no secret that as women we are all looking for ways to feel more vibrant and balanced, to look younger, lose weight, learn something new, de-stress, enjoy our kids and family and let's not forget “girls just wanna have fun!”  For this very reason, the Florence Civic Center, an SMG managed facility, has confirmed the addition of a brand new Women's show for it's 2014 event line-up, scheduled for March 14-15, 2014. The 2013 has been cancelled.

Proudly sponsored by McLeod Health, this Women's Show will be unlike anything that the ladies of the Pee Dee region have seen at the Civic Center. "This show allows women to focus on what is important to them as household leaders, leaders in the community, mothers, and individuals. What we know, is health care falls into all of the aspects of life that a women deals with on a day- to day basis. We decided to take part in this show to help women make informed decisions about their health care on a personal and business level," said Erin Faile, Community Health Education Coordinator for McLeod Health.

It is not merely a two day shopping extravaganza (although there will be a few specialty boutiques for your shopping pleasure), this event is designed by women for women and will be full of entertainment, programs, and education that matter to women.  Guests will enjoy a festive atmosphere brimming with unique hands on demonstrations for taking care of your mind, body and soul.  The goal of this event is for each guest to leave feeling stronger, smarter and more empowered.

“Women of today are working more and playing less.  We are so busy with work, family, volunteer activities, and life demands in general that we rarely take time to take care of ourselves.  This Women's Show is designed to be the beginning of an annual event where women of all ages can come and learn about everything from skin care to child care, how to look younger to how to lose weight, to how to host a party to picking the right wine for your meal” says Brandie Hayes, Show Manager of the event.

There will be exhibitors and vendors on hand to teach you how to do everything from choosing the best purse for your frame to learning how to save money at the grocery store with easy couponing.   Guests will delight in cooking demonstrations, fashion shows, belly dancing and a highly anticipated Wine and Chocolate event with a surprise celebrity as the grand hostess! From food, fashion and beauty to home, health and travel, this new Women's show is a have fun-til-you-drop extravaganza of education, well-being and quite simply girl time!

The center, an eight-time recipient of the prestigious Prime Site Award, is proud of this addition to its 2013 Events Calendar.  “The Florence Civic Center is delighted to be bringing a show of this nature to our region.  It is something we have wanted to do for the women of the Pee Dee for a long time and seeing it come to light is both fun and exciting.  This show is going to be one where women (and men are welcome too) can come together with their girlfriends and really become empowered to take charge of the minds, their bodies, their health, their souls” said Tina Dean, Director of Sales and Marketing of the Florence Civic Center.  Because of the surrounding amenities with mall and myriad restaurants right around the corner, the Florence Civic Center is an ideal location and a natural fit as the host of the Palmetto Women's Show.
