Amelia Day Festival

AMELIA, VA — The Amelia Day Festival is held the Saturday before Mother's Day in May every year to celebrate the founding of Amelia Court House. Amelia County, located in Virginia, is one of the very few counties
who still has all its records dating back to 1734 as the Clerk office was spared from burning during the Civil War. This year the festival celebrates 277 years on May 11, 2013.

The festival is held in the Courthouse Square where over 200 crafters and food vendors have their goods for sale. Many local entertainers perform throughout the day with dancing and singing. A car
show is also located nearby and many kid events are provided such as bouncy house, rock climbing and several clowns to name just a few.

Vendors who would like to rent a space may visit www.ameliadayfestival.com or contact Committee chairman Joy Garrett at (804) 561-3311 for further information. To register simply print off the needed forms and follow the instructions listed.
