North Carolina Watermelon Festival
MURFREESBORO, NC — Enjoy a complimentary slice of the State's finest melons at the North Carolina Watermelon Festival, to be held on July 31-August 3, 2013. A variety of food vendors will keep 40,000 guests happy after burning off the calories at the 5K Run. Sit and relax at the pageants as the Little Princess, Little Mr. & Ms. Farmer and the Watermelon Queen are crowned. If you miss the crowning there is still a chance to catch the Watermelon Queen at the parade!
Guests may also browse many arts and crafts vendors selling their wares during the event. Boogie at the street dances each night or try a hand at Bingo! The largest watermelon contest is sure to catch everyone's attention. Then, sit and watch our spectacular Saturday night Fireworks show!
