Artisans in the Park

VIRGINIA BEACH — Artisans in the Park is Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation's annual arts and crafts festival, will mark its 38th year and take place on September 7-8, 2013.

Artisans in the Park promotes a wide array of art forms that comprise this outdoor art and craft festival including beautiful pottery, meticulous metal and glass work, breathtaking photography, distinctive jewelry, captivating paintings, and unique sculptures. All work is of original design with the artists on site.

Hosted at the beautifully shaded Great Neck Park located at 2513 Shorehaven Drive in Virginia Beach, Va., Artisans in the Park also includes live musical stage entertainment and festival foods. The event is free and open to the public, beginning at 10 am on both days, ending at 5 pm on Saturday, September 7, and then 4 pm on Sunday, September 8.

The event location is a 70-acre park located along the banks of the Lynnhaven Bay. The landscape of mature trees for shade and paved pathways winding throughout the serenely wooded area offers much for an outdoor art and craft festival. There is space for artisan booths, food vendors and stages; easy vehicle access for artist setup/breakdown; and adequate public parking.
