Pirate Fest

SWANSBORO, NC — Shiver me timbers, Hammocks Beach State Park in Swansboro will be invaded by Pirates, Saturday May 4, 2013! The event will be held from 10am to 5pm and features Pirate ShowTime, Pirate Boat Rides and Treasure Hunts on Bear Island.

Pull out your 'Slops' or canvas breeches, cotton waistcoats stockings for the  Pirate Costume Contest at 1:30pm! The day is filled with Pirate story telling, games and activities! Additionally guests may also browse vendors, enjoy great music, food, Antique car show, Bear Island fishing, Dr Bogus and the Jim Craig Birding Program: “What Bird is That”.
