South Boston Harvest Festival

SOUTH BOSTON, VA – The 26th annual South Boston Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, September 30 in historic downtown South Boston, Virginia from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The Harvest Festival is a free community special event sponsored by many great businesses, industries and community agencies. Join us for a fun filled day of shopping, live music, children’s activities, great entertainment and delicious food. We would love to have you be with us in our town for this special celebration.
At 9:00am the streets will come alive. There will be crafters with a host of traditional, unique, and beautifully handmade items. Visitors can try their hand at scarecrow making. Kids will enjoy their time at pumpkin painting, sand art or even getting their faces painted! Skeedaddle the Clown will be making balloon sculptures throughout the day. And be on the look-out for Marlo the Magician, who will be strolling the festival streets with his magic tricks.



Throughout the day, continuous live music and entertainment will be found on two stages. Have a seat and hear singers and bands perform toe tapping music. Look for some dancers of all sizes to take the stage and dance their way to your heart!
When you get hungry, a wide variety of food can be found at our Food Court! We will have what you are looking for…BBQ, crab cakes, chicken teriyaki on a stick, chicken wings, chili, kettle corn, funnel cakes, candied apples and sno-cones. And save room for those Cinn-Sational Cinnamon Rolls!!! Several restaurants will be open during the day for you to come in, sit down, eat and relax. Our local restaurants will welcome you with our southern town charm.
